Hmmm....like Papadopoulos, has Flynn already been charged and he has already entered pleas of guilty and been found guilty? The strongest case has always been against Flynn.
In return to a lenient sentence against him (and maybe his son as well), has he agreed to be wired for the last few months, and especially over the last week with Mueller and his crew recording every word said to him by anyone who may see themselves implicated by the Manafort and Gates charges and the possible fall-out?
The Trump White House is up against a professional FBI man. I would not be surprised.
